It is very rare that I pick up a Filipino novel. Not that I’m being overrated, but I find Philippine literature difficult to understand, what with my lack of literary wizardry. Right. Shame on me. One day I was lurking around National Bookstore and by force of nature, I found myself picking this book off the rack. I had no intentions to bring home a Tagalog book that day, but I’m glad I did.
